Ewhurst with Okewood and Forest Green Rectory Fete
Saturday 16th September  12 - 4.00pm
In the Rectory Garden and the Churchyard, Ewhurst GU6 7PX

This is a Fund Raising Event for the church.

Entrance to the Fete is free, so come along and spend money at all the traditional stalls and Raffle. Get the feeling of the sea  on the Bouncy Castle!   BBQ  food and teas will be on sale to keep you going and, as usual, there will be our wonderful Teddy Bear Hunt and Teddy Bear picnic.

The Bell tower will be open for you to visit and see our historic bells plus our two new bells and  find out how they were cast.

The Fete theme this year is Cruising, so come along suitably dressed and enter the Fancy Dress completion – whatever your age.

Institution Service of the Rev’d Clare Shepherd as Rector of the parish of Ewhurst with Okewood and Forest Green
St Peter and St Paul Ewhurst on Tuesday 2nd  October at 7.30pm

The service will be conducted by the Right Rev’d Bishop Jo Wells of Dorking and blesses the start of Clare’s Ministry in the parish.

Celebrations to mark this important event will be in the Wilson room after the service.

Parking for this event will be very limited so please car share or walk if possible.

The Rectory car park will be reserved for registered disabled parking only.   The Old Rectory Nursing Home have kindly agreed to make their car park available for those who also find it hard to walk far.

Public parking is available at the Village Hall car park, the Recreation Ground car park, Broomers Lane  plus  street parking in the Glebe.

Please do not park on the school premises as this is reserved for visiting Clergy.

Ewhurst Harvest Lunch

A delicious home-made two course meal will be served.  Tickets are £8.00 per person, children £4 available from Anne 01483 277075.  Drinks available from the Donations Bar . All proceeds to the Church Roof Repair Fun.

First World War Commemorative Walk in Ewhurst  Churchyard
Saturday 10th  November
Meet at the War Memorial at10.30am

This free guided walk will be organized by Janet Balchin, Ewhurst History Society.  It will be around the church, churchyard and war memorial to look at things connected with the First World War.  The walk takes about an hour and a half and involves some standing around and uneven ground.

Find out more about Ewhurst and WWI by attending Ewhurst History Society meeting on Tuesday 20th  November at 8pm at the Ewhurst Baptist Church. Janet Balchin will be giving a talk on how the war years 1914 -1918 affected the community of Ewhurst.
