Covid -19 and the Community – how you can help

There has been a fantastic response from the community to the current situation with many people coming forward wanting to help people affected by the virus.  Voluntary Action South West Surrey is working with our local Borough Councils and the University of Surrey Students Union to ensure that vulnerable people who have to self-isolate get the help they need.

  • If you would like to help out then please get in touch with us and we can connect you with to someone who needs help.  People affected may need help with shopping or a chat on the phone to someone.  There will also be a need for volunteers to help out to cover for existing volunteers as they themselves  have to self-isolate leaving voluntary groups short of help
  • If you know someone who needs help or need help yourself then please get in touch and we will help connect you to the support you need.
  •   If you are a voluntary, community group or faith group, a group of neighbours getting together or a local business that is offering a response to Covid-19 then please let us know what you are doing so we can direct people to you as necessary.
