Overview

The Parish has two restoration projects under way at St Peter & St Paul, Ewhurst:

​Roof Repair
The church roof is urgent need of repair and this will require in excess of £700,000 in total, with some £400,000 needed for the first phase. A temporary repair has been effected on the part that recently started leaking.

Bell Refurbishment
The project to refurbish the mechanism for the 8 historic Ewhurst bells and to replace the 2 oldest bells, which date back to the 15th century has now completed successfully.  

​The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £26,300 of funding (48% of cost) for the bells, plus £200,000 (51%) towards the cost of the first stage of the roof repair.
